  • The term social media influencer has been a concept that has been popularized with the increased usage of Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok. Did you know that God’s plan is for every Christian to be a powerful influencer in every area of their lives? Sounds like an overwhelming task? Not when you learn how to use godly principles to make an impact and meaningful difference in all of your relationships, both great and small.

BUILDING HEALTHY TEAMS - ROOM 18

  • The areas you can expect to explore are how teams operate effectively, the dysfunctions of a team, and how you can overcome them. Building a winning team is a process, we hope to share some practical ideas on how to involve people to use their existing strengths to drive success.

ENHANCING YOUR WELLNESS TO EXCEL IN LEADERSHIP - ROOM 17

  • You ensure the people, organizations, and events in your life are executed with excellence. This is what you do! To continue to excel at leading and supporting others, it is essential to ensure you are well. This interactive breakout session will provide participants with the knowledge and skills to enhance your spiritual, emotional, and physical wellness while leading a small group; in your home; organizations; and your workplace. You will depart with strategies and best practices to enhance your well-being.

GETTING THE MOST OUT OF YOUR SMALL GROUP - FELLOWSHIP HALL

  • Why do some small groups grow and multiply while others do not? Are you an effective small group leader? Can you be better? Do you desire to lead a healthy, growing, and eventually multiplying small group? What activities or habits contribute to you being an effective leader of a healthy, growing, and multiplying small group? This workshop will help you answer the above questions and equip you with some tools to assist you in being an effective small group leader. Join two season leaders who have asked and answered the above questions for themselves as they share what they have learned.

HOW TO LEAD THROUGH A STORM - TEEN ROOM 

  • As a leader, how do you navigate turbulent times with faith and grace?  Gain the biblical wisdom and spiritual tools to lead yourself and others through trials. Drawing inspiration from biblical principles, this breakout will explore how to lead effectively amidst uncertainty, adversity, and change, while remaining anchored in God's unshakable promises. Participants will gain practical insights to foster resilience, inspire their teams, and emerge as steadfast leaders who shine the light of hope even in the darkest of storms.

HOW TO LEAD WHEN YOU ARE NOT IN CHARGE - ROOMS 28 & 29

  • Great leaders don't wait to be in charge to begin leading. Authority is not a prerequisite for leadership." In this breakout, discover how you can lead no matter your role in the organization. Begin leading now, so you can be ready to lead when you do have the authority. Joseph and Nehemiah did it, so can you! 

HOW TO LEAD IN THE HOME (FOR PARENTS ONLY) - COMMUNITY ROOM

  • There are "Soul Anchors" that must be established in the hearts of our children if they are to withstand the stormy winds of current and coming culture. This workshop is purposed to equip parents for the equipping of their children to not only survive the storm but to thrive in the midst of it.

THE RELUCTANT LEADER: GROWING IN CONFIDENCE AS A LEADER - ROOM 12

  • Are you a Christian who finds yourself in a leadership role but feels uncertain and hesitant about your capabilities? Do you desire to lead with confidence while staying true to your faith and values?Through personal anecdotes and biblical teachings, this breakout will help you overcome self-doubt, embrace your God-given leadership role, and lead with authenticity and humility. This session will empower reluctant leaders to step into their calling, grow in confidence, and make a lasting impact in their communities with faith-driven leadership.

  • You've been born with a genius and you don't even know it!  Gain the key insights to unlock your leadership potential.  In this breakout, you can better understand how God has built you to lead yourself and others.  Learn how to use The Working Genius model, developed by Patrick Lencioni, to tap into your gifts, identify the type of work that brings you and your team joy and energy, as well as increase productivity while reducing judgment and burnout.

  • PASTOR KEVIN JAMES

    founding and Senior Pastor of New Community Bible Fellowship

    Pastor Kevin James is founding and Senior Pastor of New Community Bible Fellowship.  Kevin has been involved in ministering the Gospel and developing disciples for Christ for over twenty years in the United States, Ghana, India and the Ukraine. His preparation for ministry includes a Master of Divinity Degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School located in the Chicago area.  

  • DR. MARK CROSTON

    National Director of Black Church Ministries at Life Way christian resources

    Mark Andrew Croston, D.Min. was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Three years after the death of his first wife, Dr. Croston married his current wife, Brenda. This blended family has four children.


    Dr. Croston currently serves as National Director of Black Church Ministries at LifeWay Christian Resources in Nashville, Tennessee; General Editor and Writer for the YOU Urban Bible Study curriculum; Executive Editor of Deacon MagazineTeaching Pastor of Christ Fellowship, Miami, Florida and Executive Pastor of Mount Gilead Baptist Church, Nashville, Tennessee.  Additionally, Dr. Croston has been conferred the title of Pastor Emeritus of East End Baptist Church, Suffolk, Virginia.


    Dr. Croston is the author or contributor to several books including What About Me?: Staying Healthy and Whole While Helping Others Big Results: Sunday School and Black Church LifeWorship: How to Say to God I Love You and his newest book Big Results Leadership

    Deacon Wayne Dancie has served as an officer at New Community since 2018. Further, he has served the last ten years in the Christian Education Department as a leader, coach, and overseer. Furthermore and recently, he became the lead men’s “Encourager” and co-trainer for New Community’s Freedom Ministry which is a one-on-one discipleship ministry.


    Professionally, he graduated from Miami University of Ohio with degrees in accounting and finance. He began his career in corporate accounting, then commercial lending, now he’s an independent business consultant and entrepreneur.


    Dean Wayne married Paula, his college sweetheart, and they share two adult children, Wayne Jr. and Leah, and a grandson, Noah.

  • DR. GARY FROST

    pastored for 23 years

    Gary has pastored for 23 years in Youngstown, Ohio and Brooklyn, New York serving respectively at Rising Star Baptist Church and Evergreen Baptist Church. Upon graduating from Mount Union College with a degree in Psychology he became coordinator of the crisis intervention department of the Child and Adult Mental Health Center in Youngstown. After obtaining his seminary degree in Pastoral Psychology from Ashland Theological Seminary he specialized as a pastoral counselor in Youngstown. Gary is also a graduate of Central Bible College of Cleveland, Ohio.


    Gary served 8 years on the Executive Committee of the Southern Baptist Convention in Nashville, Tennessee as well as two terms as Second Vice President of that denomination. He has twice served as a vice president at the North American Mission Board (SBC) in Alpharetta, Georgia under two administrations. Gary was called to serve in New York City as executive director of the Metropolitan New York Baptist Association working with over 200 churches. While in New York he also served as president of Concerts of Prayer Greater New York. He has served as National Facilitator for Prayer with the Mission America Coalition and currently is serving as Director of Missions for the Steel Valley Baptist Association in Ohio. In addition, he serves as National Director for March For Jesus, USA.


    Gary and his wife Lynette have been married 46 years. They have 6 children, 6 grandchildren and have served as foster parents for more than 40 children. Gary and Lynette are the co-founders of a ministry to homeless and home-challenged pregnant women known as Eagle’s Nest Life Equipping Center in Youngstown, Ohio.

  • WESLEY GILLESPIE

    Regional President of ERIEBANK

    Wesley is the Regional President of ERIEBANK, a subsidiary of CNB Bank. Wesley is responsible for the expansion of the bank into the Cleveland market, as well as lead the growth efforts of the Northeast region for ERIEBANK.


    Wesley earned his Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication & Economics from Youngstown State University in 1992. Wesley serve’s on the Board of Trustees for Shoes & Clothes for Kids, and an officer position with Growth Capital Corp of Cleveland, chairing it’s loan committee.


    Wesley is also consistently asked to provide his insights and perspectives to business organizations and publications such as The Council for Smaller Enterprises (COSE), and CRAIN’S Cleveland Business respectively.


    Mr Gillespie has led or coached Small Groups at NCBF over the past 12 years.

  • ANDRE MICKEL

    Case Western Reserve University professor

    Andre’ K. Mickel is first and foremost a follower of Christ Jesus, whom God has allowed to serve The Kingdom at NCBF in his nearly 15 years of Life Group leadership, servanthood in the Prayer Ministry, teaching in Discipleship University, and sharing the love of Christ and the Word of God to help rebuild those wounded from divorce in the new Divorce Care Ministry. At Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Dental Medicine, where he is a tenured professor, he believes God has uniquely positioned him as a child of God—who happens to be the department Chairperson and Director of the Post-doctorate residency program in Endodontics, to be a light sharing the Gospel with doctors who have come from “the end of the earth” (Acts 1:8, NKJV) to Cleveland to train in his residency program, as well as serve as a spiritual mentor to future doctors in his capacity as the campus faculty advisor leader of the CWRU Christian Medical and Dental Association. Having completed his master’s in divinity degree (General Pastoral) in 2019, Andre’ will prayerfully complete his Doctor of Ministry degree in Transformational Leadership in the spring of 2024, both from Ashland Theological Seminary. He is married to his queen, Estomarys, and they have 4 children: Ashley, Andre’, Corey, and Alexander.
