During this time where people need the Gospel more than ever, we are challenging the people of New Community to share their testimony. We believe by sharing your testimony online, you have the opportunity to not only participate in the Great Commission of Jesus Christ, but help impact people's lives during this unprecedented time.

OUR NEED FOR SALVATION
Do you know what will happen to you when you die? Where will you spend eternity? Is there a way to know for sure that you are going to Heaven? God has answers to all of these questions. Because of God's love for you, He wants you to spend eternity with Him in Heaven. God has provided a way for you to know for sure that you will be in Heaven. It is His plan for salvation.
why do i need salvation?
No matter how hard we try no one can achieve perfection; no one can be perfect in how we feel in our heart and what we do in our actions, after all we are only human. Everyone has sinned (missed God's perfect mark) at some point in their life. The Bible tells us that "all have sinned and fallen short of God's standard." (Romans 3:23) In spite of how we act or feel, God loves us and provided a way for us to be with Him forever. The Bible says, "for by grace you are saved through faith; and not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9) This gift is free to anyone who accepts it.
how can i receive the free gift of salvation?
Jesus died on the cross for you and you can receive forgiveness for your sins and the free gift of salvation by asking Jesus into your life. Jesus will not reject you. He is waiting to give you His gift of salvation. The Bible says to receive salvation you must "confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead then you will be saved." (Romans 10:9) If you are ready to receive the free gift of salvation sincerely pray this prayer...
Dear Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and my life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name, amen.
what do i do now?
Now that you have asked Jesus to come into your heart, you have begun a new life as a Christian and you are now a part of God's family. In your new relationship with Jesus it's important to spend time getting to know Him. The best way to do this is to join a Bible-teaching church and spend time reading about Him in His Word (the Bible).

Knowing that I need the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior, I now trust Him to pardon and deliver me from the guilt and power of sin. As He gives me strength, I shall witness for Him, serve Him in the fellowship of His church, and seek to do His will in all areas of my daily life. "God says it... In His Word I believe it...
