  • ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTant to the senior pastor

    Ministry Function: The Sr. Pastor’s Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Sr. Pastor. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments and outside engagements, coordinating and scheduling travel arrangements, placing orders for books, CDs and other ministry resources, organizing, coding, and tracking receipts, accessing information from the church database and limited filing responsibilities.


    The Sr. Pastor’s Administrative Assistant will be responsible for the following:

    1. Scheduling Appointment and Outside Engagement

      1. The Sr. Pastor’s Administrative Assistant (SPAA) serves as the primary contact for those who request meetings or outside engagements with the Sr. Pastor. The SPAA will meet regularly with the Sr. Pastor to discuss scheduling items, meeting requests and upcoming events. These meetings may be conducted via teleconference or video conference.


    1. The SPAA will track individual requests, communicate requests to the Sr. Pastor, obtain potential meeting dates and follow up with individuals to confirm availability.  Availability will be communicated to the Sr. Pastor for further instruction if needed.


    1. The SPAA will maintain a calendar of the above-mentioned meetings and engagements and will contact individuals the week of their assigned meeting as a reminder and to obtain final confirmation and express the importance of timeliness. Variations to the original schedule will be communicated to the Sr. Pastor.

    1. Coordinating and Scheduling Travel Arrangements

      1. As directed by the Sr. Pastor, the SPAA will provide travel options for the Sr. Pastor including air fare, hotel accommodations, and rental cars, as needed. Options for travel arrangements will be communicated to the Sr. Pastor in a timely manner.


    1. Once travel arrangements are confirmed with the Sr. Pastor, the SPAA will secure accommodation using New Community’s corporate credit card.


    1. Reservation information and travel itineraries will be created by the SPAA and forwarded to the Sr. Pastor for review.


    1. Placing Orders for Books, CDs, and Other Ministry Resources

      1. Based on the direction of the Sr. Pastor, the SPAA will place orders for resources needed. Resources may include books, CDs, DVDs, conference resource materials or other items that may be needed for the ministry.


    1. The SPAA will research availability and lowest cost option of identified resources and place orders for the items using New Community’s corporate credit card.


    1. The SPAA will tack the arrival of resources and ensure the packing slip matches items ordered. Packing slips and receipts will be coded with the correct New Community account number and forward to the Finance Administrator for processing.  


    1. Organizing, Tracking and Coding Receipts and Filing

      1. The SPAA will use information received from the Sr. Pastor to track, organize and code receipts for processing. Coded receipts will be forwarded to the Finance Administrator weekly.


    1. The SPAA will also have limited filing responsibilities on site at New Community, as directed by the Sr. Pastor.


    1. Email and Social Media Administration and Maintenance

      1. Set up and maintain appropriate email accounts including filtering and sorting as directed by the Senior Pastor.

      2. Recommend and Maintain a Senior Pastor presence on appropriate social media platforms as directed by the Senior Pastor.

    1. Miscellaneous Duties

      1. The SPAA will attend C.E.L.T. meetings and other regularly scheduled meetings as needed.


    1. Maintain an intimate walk and relationship with the Lord to ensure personal, spiritual growth, as well as to insure a godly example at all times, both privately and publicly.


    1. As an associate employee of New Community, the SPAA will adhere to the standards listed in 1 Timothy 4:12.


    1 Timothy 4:12

    Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in         conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.


    Failure to adhere to these standards will result in disciplinary actions up to and including termination of this Ministry Associate assignment.


    1. Meet requests for information or action in a timely, tactful and courteous manner, even when they are outside of the Sr. Pastor’s Administrative Assistant’s direct ministry description.

    1. All other duties and responsibilities as assigned, but not listed above.

    10. As with all assignments at New Community, the Sr. Pastor’s Administrative Assistant serves in the best interest of New Community Bible Fellowship. Must have an open and understanding spirit if the Senior Pastor or Eldership determines a need for change or reassignment.


    Qualifications:

    1. Must be a member in good standing at New Community Bible Fellowship.

    2. Strong commitment to spiritual growth.

    3. Fully embraces the vision, mission and values of New Community Bible Fellowship.

    4. High level of competence and proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications, where applicable to ministry duties. 

    5. Must exhibit a continuous effort to develop and improve skills and knowledge.

    6. The ideal candidate should be creative, bring high energy and hard working.

    7. Must have excellent organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills.

    8. Bachelor’s degree in the areas of business management preferred.

  • SENIOR ADMINISTATor

    Ministry Function: The Sr. Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Executive Director of Ministry (EDOM) and the Sr. Director of Operations (SDOO). Responsibilities would span a broad range of general administration, procurement and project management requiring advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.


    1. EDOM General Administrative Duties:

    • Organize meetings schedule and prepare and publish weekly desk audits in conjunction with the EDOM. Send meeting requests and zoom links to the appropriate parties.

    • Prepare and publish meeting agendas as directed in conjunction with the EDOM

    • Attend meetings and record meeting minutes, action plans and deadlines. Publish meeting minutes and action plans to all involved parties.

    • Update, maintain and publish officer’s rotation schedules in conjunction with the EDOM.

    • Assist with planning training workshops, retreats and other events as assigned by the EDOM

    • Provide administrative support to the Ministers on staff, as assigned by the EDOM

    • Develop dashboards to track key statistics (e.g. attendance, salvations, baptisms, new members, installations and viewership) in the Children, Students, Young Adults and Adult Ministries.

    • In conjunction with the EDOM, develop PowerPoint presentations for various meetings and initiatives

    • Organize, track and manage all receipts associated with the SDOM credit card transactions.

    • Assist EDOM as directed at ministry functions and ministry meetings including but not limited to CELT, Officers Meetings, SPAB Meetings, etc.


    1. SDOO General Administrative Duties:

    • Organize, track and manage all receipts associated with the SDOO credit card transactions.

    • As directed by the SDOO, send out mass text and phonetree messages, including securing the correct database and tracking when messages are scheduled for delivery.

    • In conjunction with the SDOO, develop PowerPoint presentations for various meetings and initiatives.

    • Manage New Community’s Postal Permits to ensure they are up to date and have available postage in the account.

    • As directed by the SDOO use raw data from CSV and Excel spreadsheets to manipulate and reformat data as needed for reporting and tracking.

    • Using Excel, track and provide weekly updates on giving to the SDOO for review, once approved forward to appropriate parties.

    • Track and report statistics on first time givers, recurring transactions and large donations.

    • Develop first draft of general business correspondence and memos for the review with the SDOO prior to mailing. Take lead on coordinating mass mailing initiatives.

    • Assist, as needed, with church wide events. This may include Women’s Ministry, Make Cleveland Better, Missions, Mental Health Awareness, etc.

    • As directed, provide assistance with following up with messages and phone calls. 

    • Assist SDOO as directed at ministry functions and ministry meetings including but not limited to Kingdom Impact Meetings, Business Meetings, Town Hall Meetings, etc. 

    • Manage and order office supplies as needed ensuring lowest cost possible without paying sales taxes.




    1. Project Management:

      • In conjunction with the SDOO and/or the EDOM develop project scope, project schedule, project budget and timeline for completion on assigned projects. Projects may include database/software updates roll out, ministry initiatives and special events.

      • In conjunction with the SDOO and/or the EDOM conduct meetings with project team to execute project tasks and key initiatives. Publish meeting minutes, action plans and due dates to the appropriate parties.

      • Develop a project plan to monitor and track progress. Provide regular project updates to the SDOO and/or the EDOM.

      • Report and escalate issues and variances to the project budget or project timeline to the SDOO and/or the EDOM immediately.

      • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation for reference for future projects.

      • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.



    1. Other Responsibilities / Expectations:

      • Meet requests for action or information in a timely, tactful, and courteous manner, even when they are outside of the Sr. Administrator’s direct ministry description.

      • Meet weekly and maintain consistent communication with EDOM and SDOO to establish guidelines, expectations and ministry update.


    Qualifications:

    1. Advanced Microsoft Office skills and administrative skills

    2. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

    3. Project Management experience a plus

    4. Highly organized, efficient and adept at multitasking and prioritizing tasks with a spirit of excellence

    5. Sense of urgency and commitment to meeting deadlines

  • CHILDREN'S MINISTRY LEAD

Love Education and Discipleship?  Are you called to use your gifts in full-time ministry teaching children about Jesus through an elite team of volunteers that you recruit and train?  If so, we would love to talk with you about an exciting opportunity to do just that at New Community Bible Fellowship in Cleveland Heights, OH.  

     

    New Community is a growing 4000+ member Bible teaching, non-denominational church in Cleveland Heights, Ohio and we are looking for a full-time Children’s Ministry Lead. The Children’s Ministry Lead serves as the lead coordinator for the day-to-day ministry business and operations of the Children’s Ministry. Duties include but are not limited to recruiting, developing and retaining a team of core volunteers, enforcing safety policies and procedures and executing New Community’s existing curriculum.  You will lead the entire Children’s Ministry Team and we are committed to making sure you have all the training, development and tools to do so.

     

    The role requires a person with proven experience, passion and giftedness in discipleship and developing children to grow into mature Christians. The person must be a sound teacher of the Bible, and able to train both leaders and children.

     

    The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in the areas of Early Childhood Education or a seminary degree with a “calling” to use their gifts as full-time ministry staff.  Children’s Ministry experience is a major plus.  Also, candidates must be proficient in Microsoft software in order to maintain and track statistical data, have excellent organizational, administrative, and team development skills and must exhibit a continuous effort to develop and improve skills and knowledge.
