The Children's Ministry Coordinator at New Community Bible Fellowship in Cleveland Heights, OH is responsible for leading and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Children's Ministry. This includes recruiting, training, and retaining a team of dedicated volunteers, implementing safety policies and procedures, and executing the church's existing curriculum. The coordinator will lead the entire Children's Ministry Team and will receive the necessary training, development, and resources to fulfill their role effectively.
Responsibilities
Volunteer Recruitment and Development
- Recruit, select, and train volunteers to serve in various capacities within the Children's Ministry
- Provide ongoing support, encouragement, and training to volunteers to enhance their effectiveness
- Foster a positive and nurturing environment for both volunteers and children
Curriculum Implementation
- Ensure the smooth execution of New Community's existing Orange curriculum for children
- Adapt and customize curriculum materials as needed to meet the specific needs of the ministry
- Collaborate with volunteers to plan and organize engaging and age-appropriate activities for children
Discipleship and Spiritual Growth
- Demonstrate a deep understanding and love for Jesus Christ and a passion for teaching children about Him
- Teach biblical principles and facilitate opportunities for children to grow in their faith
- Provide guidance and support to children as they develop spiritually and navigate their faith journey
Safety and Security
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure the well-being of children
- Maintain a secure environment by following appropriate safety guidelines and protocols
- Conduct regular safety training sessions for volunteers and ensure compliance with safety standards
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records and statistical data related to the Children's Ministry
- Utilize Microsoft software and other tools to organize and track ministry information
- Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth to enhance skills and knowledge
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education or a seminary degree with a passion for full-time ministry
- Prior experience in Children's Ministry is highly desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft software and ability to handle statistical data effectively
- Strong organizational, administrative, and team development skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A demonstrated commitment to personal spiritual growth and maturity
