freedom ministry

what is the freedom ministry?

Freedom Ministry offers one on one discipleship to those who are seeking to walk in the spiritual freedom that only Jesus provides (Jn. 8:31-31). We do this by offering a “Freedom Appointment” to members or visitors.

The Freedom Appointment is the culmination of an 8-week discipleship process that requires the purchase of materials, reading and meeting with a trained discipler in the ministry. These resources can be purchased through the NCBF Freedom Ministry.

  • Many of us have a lifetime of experiences, and some traumatic experiences, that have shaped our behaviors, and these behaviors are linked to our patterns of thinking which determine how our bodies respond to situations.  These past experiences can become like “ruts in the road of life” which can distort how a person sees themselves and might even make a person question God at times.  When you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and became a Child of God no one pressed the “delete button” to remove those destructive patterns of thinking or the emotional pain associated with traumatic experiences.  This is called a “Stronghold” which is a mindset that resists God’s truth.

  • A Freedom Appointment is for anyone who is experiencing what we call “disconnects” from God.  Typically, these “disconnects” from God manifest themselves as anxiety, depression, persistent fear, nightmares, emotional instability, irrational and recurring thoughts, voices, outbursts of anger, persistent rebellion to authority,  persistent struggles with sin or other spiritual attacks.  This ministry is not for a person who is looking just to grow in their relationship with God.  We believe that by order these two books on your own and reading them you will grow in your relationship with God if you apply the Word to your life.  There is a brief interview process that you will get an opportunity to share your struggle, and we will let you know if a Freedom Appointment is right for you.  Our goal is to come alongside you during this 8-week time period to discuss what you are learning from your reading and get you ready for your Freedom Appointment.

  • A Freedom Appointment is a process by which a person asks God to reveal to their mind the things that are hindering their intimacy with Him.  Essentially, it is a process of repentance and faith in Jesus Christ based upon Scripture.  We give you a free copy of a book called “The Steps to Freedom in Christ”.  In this book you will be asked to review seven critical areas where we all can develop disconnects from God.  You will be reading prayers and checking off areas where you agree with, and you will be guided through the process and have another person there to pray for you.   The appointment is basically between you and the Holy Spirit and the discipler will be there to coach you and guide you through the process.
