MARRIAGE AND COED 2020-2021 LIFEGROUP OFFERINGS:
Building a Kingdom Marriage
Sundays at 11am
Resource: The Meaning of Marriage – Facing the Complexities of Commitment with the Wisdom of God by Timothy and Kathy Keller
Modern culture would have you believe that everyone has a soul mate; that romance is the most important part of a successful marriage; that your spouse is there to help you realize your potential; that marriage does not mean forever, but merely for now; and that starting over after a divorce is the best solution to seemingly intractable marriage issues. According to the bible, all of these modern-day assumptions miss what marriage is all about. This group will offer instruction on how to have a successful marriage, and is essential reading for any couple who wants to know God and love more deeply in this life.

You start your love story with dreams and end it with memories. Join this group as well explore the daily reality of a life lived out with a commitment to treating our spouse the way God treats us --- with grace. In this class we’ll look at love, we’ll see how God’s grace plays out in our marriage as we navigate through the areas of sex, kids, conflict, aging and endings…gracefully.

What if God’s primary intent for your marriage isn’t to make you happy . . . but holy? And, what if your relationship isn’t as much about you and your spouse as it is about you and God? Becoming One Flesh
Wednesdays at 7pm
Resource: Letting Go of Fear by Neil T. Anderson and Husband in Pursuit by Ryan Frederick (Men Only) and Wife in Pursuit by Selena Frederick (Women Only)
God has stated in scripture that “the two shall become one flesh” but why does it seem so difficult at times to “become One” if God has commanded it? Maybe there is an element of fear, shame, pain or trauma that inhibits our being truly known? Join a group of couples who will discover what it means to live in a relationship of acceptance, security and significance with our Heavenly Father and then deepen that same relationship with one another. In this group we will explore scripture and How God has designed us and then discover what often inhibits our relationship with God and others.
