The Vision of the Teen Ministry

The Teen Ministry at New Community Bible Fellowship is committed to raising the next generation in the love and admonition of the Lord. We hold to the “Great Commission” given by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Discipleship is at the heart of our ministry.  We are committed to equipping our youth with the elements that are essential for a victorious walk as a Christian.

 Teen Ministry Key Features

The youth are encouraged to give themselves to the Lord in the days of their youth (Eccl. 12:1).  The Teen Life Groups perform a minimum of (2) service projects per semester.  These groups provide a forum for the Teens to grow and develop a Christ-like mind.  Our focus is discipleship and mentoring.

 NU Konnections

This life group meets on Tuesday evenings with a focus of discipling teens who are devoted to growing deeper spiritually in their walk with Christ. The life groups provide a bridge to involve the youth in other church activities such as:  Teen Choir, Teen Focus Sundays, Teen Special Events and outreach.

The Teen Ministry exists to fulfill the following purposes:

Warmth

A place where the youth can experience God.

"And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me." John 12:32

Witness

A message of Salvation that everyone should hear.

"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be a witness to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

Acts 1:8

Worship

A place where everyone is welcome and considered family.

"A new commandment I give you that you love one another; as I have loved you that you also love one another." John 13:34

Word

A place where the lives of teens are changing.

"For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcome it not as the word of men, but as truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe. I Thessalonians 2:13

Wonder

A place of miracles.

"Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered for him by the church.   Acts 12:5

Working

A place where serving impacts the lives of people.

"But Simon's wife's mother lay sick with fever, and they told Him about her at once. So He came and took her by the hand and  lifted her up, and immediately the fever left her and she served them. Mark 1:30-31
