Beauty for Ashes: Overwhelmed by a Relentless God | Thursdays at 7PM | Room 18
Resource:  Crazy Love: Overwhelmed by a Relentless God by Francis Chan

God is love.  Crazy, relentless, all-powerful love.  Have you ever wondered if we're missing it? It's crazy, if you think about it. The God of the universe—the Creator of nitrogen and pine needles, galaxies and E-minor—loves us with a radical, unconditional, self-sacrificing love. And what is our typical response? We go to church, sing songs, and try not to cuss. Whether you've verbalized it yet or not, we all know something's wrong.

Does something deep inside your heart long to break free from the status quo? God is calling you to a passionate love relationship with Himself. Because the answer to religious complacency isn't working harder at a list of do's and don'ts—it's falling in love with God. And once you encounter His love, you will never be the same. Because when you're wildly in love with someone, it changes everything.

Boundaries: How to say no to take control of your life | Thursdays at 7PM | Room 28

Resource:  Boundaries by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend

Having clear boundaries is essential to a healthy, balanced lifestyle. A boundary is a personal property line that marks those things for which we are responsible. In other words, boundaries define who we are and who we are not. Boundaries impact all areas of our lives: Physical boundaries help us determine who may touch us and under what circumstances -- Mental boundaries give us the freedom to have our own thoughts and opinions -- Emotional boundaries help us to deal with our own emotions and disengage from the harmful, manipulative emotions of others -- Spiritual boundaries help us to distinguish God's will from our own and give us renewed awe for our Creator -- Often, Christians focus so much on being loving and unselfish that they forget their own limits and limitations. When confronted with their lack of boundaries, they ask: - Can I set limits and still be a loving person. Join other women to find the answer to these tough questions, showing us how to set healthy boundaries with our parents, spouses, children, friends, co-workers, and even ourselves.

Emotionally, Healthy Spirituality- For Women Only! | Wednesday at 7PM | Offsite Location

Resource: Emotionally, Healthy Spirituality by Pete Scazzero

Pete Scazzero learned the hard way: you can't be spiritually mature while remaining emotionally immature. Even though he was a pastor of a growing church, he did what most people do: Avoid conflict in the name of Christianity - Ignore his anger, sadness, and fear - Use God to run from God - Live without boundaries. Eventually God awakened him to a biblical integration of emotional health, a relationship with Jesus, and the classic practices of contemplative spirituality. It created nothing short of a spiritual revolution, utterly transforming him and his church. In this best-selling book Scazerro outlines his journey and the signs of emotionally healthy spirituality. Then he provides seven biblical, reality-tested ways to break through to the revolutionary life Christ meant for you. 'The combination of emotional health and contemplative spirituality,' he says, 'unleashes the Holy Spirit inside us so that we might experientially know the power of an authentic life in Christ.'

Joy: Seeking and Finding the Elusive Fruit | Thursdays at 7PM | Room 19
Resource: Choosing Gratitude: Your Journey to Joy by Nancy Leigh DeMoss

Gratitude is a choice.  If we fail to choose it, by default we choose ingratitude.  And once allowed into the heart, ingratitude does not come by itself but with a lot of other seedy companions that only succeed in stealing joy.  To not choose gratitude - daily and deliberately - is more costly than we usually realize.  And when we do choose a lifestyle of heartfelt, humble gratitude, we are mindful of the benefits received from our gracious Savior and those He has placed around us.  By intentionally thanking God and others, bitterness and entitlement are replaced with joy and the humble realization of just how undeserving we really are.  Choosing Gratitude:  Your Journey to Joy will equip you to live a life of intention.  A life based on thankfulness - for the freedom Christ has provided and for the blessings of others.
